Lyrical Analysis of...
Why me?
- Yeah,
- crisp was the sun
- fresh was the grass,
- I stepped inside of my school
- first day of the class.
- With a heavy heart and nervous mind
- I was moving forward, leaving all behind.
- As I made my way
- murmurs and chats grew,
- "hey whose this guy?
- and whats, he up to?"
- I wasn't an oddball, maybe just a freak
- nothing big
- but maybe, that's how its meant to be.
- People didn't liked me,
- just gave stares
- I was like a dying fish, being hunked by bears
- As i moved to a nearby seat
- making myself easy, then came big Pete
- "You cant sit here, its my chair"
- I replied, "its the final one, Iv to sit somewhere"
- "not my problem" thats what he said he said
- "im not in mood, so dont sit on my head"
- Then came recess, time to get out of my shell
- be friendly with people, maybe
- life wouldnt worse as hell.
- But no body bothered, same was the case
- everyone ignored me, bored were their face.
- "hey kid, why dont you join us?
- and have your lunch"
- said Jason, as he munched.
- As i walked to them, someone stretched their leg
- and made me fall,
- whole Cafeteria mocked,
- I was laughing stock for all.
- Nervous, embarrassed, that's what i felt
- "maybe life wouldn't easy,
- if that's how I dealt."
- Now I've to make these people
- one of my guys
- cause only the fittest survives
- and weaker dies.
- Time after time, they made it clear
- I wasnt needed,
- got abuse and jeers.
- Story doesnt end here,
- darkness crawled.
- Walking my way back, there as an assault!
- they kicked me down, crushed my face
- blow after blow, on every place.
- "What did i do? What was my fault?"
- "You hit on Sam's girl, after the Waltz"
- I said, "I helped her out, she had an accident"
- "You needed a chance, thats what it meant.
- You were never like us
- but you wanted to be one. Now here is my gift
- Or my thank you in return."
- Then he kicked on my chin, i was left undone.
- nose began to bleed, vision fading, pain indeed.
- That's how my kindness payed off
- "being different" nearly got me killed
- even now they haunt me
- worse than "Hounds of Baskerville"
- Beats used: "Physics" by razor
