Lyrical Analysis of...
Pain doesn't hurt...
- They say pain doesn't hurt when it's all you've ever felt
- From as early as I can remember I would always get the belt
- Some druggie that ain't my dad hitting me because he's mad
- Nothing that I even did it's just easier to beat a kid
- I have plenty scars from their blackout nights at the bars
- Look deep into my eyes and see the rage I keep inside.
- If I could find them today they'd surely meet their demise.
- I would happily do life in prison if I could give them even a tenth of the whippin that I was given
- I was beaten unconscious like it was his normal daily grind
- Had my jaw wired 3 times before the age of 5
- I'd step in to save my baby sister or else she wouldn't be alive
- Stew that slowly for a few years beyond 40 I'm still looking for my prize
- I still have my pride and rage inside once my innocence had died
- I really stopped feeling most pain by the time that I was 9.
- 40 years gone by now I have a metal spine. Fully disabled
- Too many times on the table, but still feel like I'm in my prime.
- Like a horror movie villain I keep getting to my feet. No real pain call me a freak
- Nothing about me is weak be careful how you speak
- Pain doesn't hurt when it's all you've ever felt
- You can call it absurd, but much like love and hate it's just another 4 letter word.
