Where I’m At

It’s been awhile since I picked up a pen and wrote some shit
Just a broken kid, haven’t been this socially distant since the Covid hit
All this beef shit, I’m over it, and some of yall almost got yo wish
A car crash almost claimed my life, but guess it made me refocus it
I ain’t been in the mood to write, so I been ignoring thoughts I form
Cause life been throwing me curves I had to stop to try and work on them
And truth be told, my heart hasn’t been in this rap shit, debated hanging it up
Feel like the skills got rusty, lines ain’t hitting, or I just don’t want it enough
Had the whole concept for an album ready to blow your minds
Now I sit and stare at the beats playing and can’t even form a line
And if we had a feature sorry if I let you down, forgive me please
It’s kinda hard to spit a scheme when I’m tryna work on me
This the last time you’ll hear from me for a while now
Need some space to decompress before I spiral down
Until the thoughts return for that creative spark, that’s when I’m back
