DEFENDER'S RAP

• It’s round 2, another challenge queued
• I musta left some ash in the burner, some fine residue
• I’ve always been a middleman, the one signing the coup
• But I’m no sheep for the slaughter, what about ewe (you)?
• This ain’t a diss, I know I’m underestimated
• Folks hated my self-esteem, so they turned to rage baitin’
• Their heads pileated as soon as I didn’t give into the pecking order
• They wanted all the satisfaction to themselves, like a pack of hoarders
• I cross borders like caravans if the wall’s shaky like flan
• Cause I “stan” for freedom, against covering with “afghans”
• Wingspan long, yet someone always wants to clip em’
• But I’ve never been into sittin’ around and actin’ like a victim
• I “rose” up from the ground and let my petals bloom
• They thought I was dead where I stood, til’ I was resurrected and exhumed
• They assumed I was doomed, but as seasons passed, I only grew more attuned
• And now haters are forced to eat my dust, like I’m getting consumed
• Again, no dissing, they already lost the race
• The moment they decided to beat around the bush instead of saying it to my face
• Claimin’ they got a v8 and playin’ the part great, cause we all know that Chevy’s got no chase
• So don’t you dare run your mouth on the net or the next race in which you partake is one that’s gonna get you e-raced!
• I’m so far ahead mentally that I disappeared without a trace
• And now they’re searchin’ for me in a van that’s blue and green laced
• If a hurricane whips up, they’re finna find me in a crawlspace
