Sidewalk

• Written by

Somehow they walked over the daisy
The hood is art but that's not what they see
Lately , I've been thinkin, how shit is crazy
How a mother feel, when she cant provide for her baby
In comes the letter evicted , she has no income
Would I be killed by the cops if I did run
Cause in the hood shots fire ever hour
But it don't get as much respect as the towers
So tell me who you donating for?
When it dont feed the poor
Their grandeur is what only matters
I climbed ladders to reach
Knowledge your teacher dont teach
Rather be on my own then on a leash
Controlled by the masses
You couldn't peep with glasses
The fact is , I didn't need to take classes
To learn what their class is
The golden child they must fear us
Have the balls to come near us
Dont wanna hear us , so we smoke that loud
Moms wouldn't be proud , but it takes the pain away , when she on that cloud
As I walk through the shadow of death, may the Lord protect me
I've fucked up but don't reject me
Coulda been my brother
Coulda been my aunt , cousent or mother
To them ya life means zero
So think twice before you wanna be a hero

[Verse : 2]
Time goes by , so steadily
Living in hell, we wonder what heaven be
Prisoners dwell , hoping that they set em free
Men die leaving nothing but a legacy
Women cry , you don't need him girl let him leave
Kids lost , so they live life wrecklessly
What the future has in store , we can never see
It's hard carrying on , not knowing what's ahead of me
