"Doubts" snippet
• Written by Westown
Unexpected/
Get in my way you'll regret it/
I don't play by rules, I set 'em/
Do my best, that's what's expected/
My fears, angers, and doubts, they're too freakishly consistent/
They pop up out of nowhere/
Stop and blink and you might miss it/
Wish I could just get ridda them/
Tell myself, "Hey look man you did it"/
But their way of weighin' on me is just too sneakily efficient/
I bury insecurities, but trauma digs 'em up/
Laugh at myself, "Ha ha you messed up"
Maybe it's time to try to drink from a different cup/
But it's kinda hard to move, when you just feel like you're stuck/
Yeah, I wake up and think I might have a good day/
Then life runs me over like a freight train/
And meanwhile the doubt is always suffocating/
And still, my anger ain't even added in the equation/
My unpredictability is insane/
Amazing, ly hard to contain/
I'm fading, please somebody save me/
I'm going off the edge and will I survive?/
Maybe/
