Copy, Paste

Sometimes I feel like I'm writing the same song over and over

Inspiration can be hard to come by, and when it's not there, I try to force everything

The flow, the rhymes, and especially the subject matter

But not this song, no, this one felt right

Copy paste, nothings changed

I've been stuck in the same state of mind

Repeating and beating this dead horse of mine

With the same set of rhymes

Losing time, at least I can keep it

I better be able to fuck, after all, I eat it and breathe it

Try to stay humble but sometimes I look at my lyrics it feels I'm looking at genius

But then there are the lows, when I feel blue

When I lack motivation or belief in myself trying to write but I don't have a clue

Like is the verse true to me

Is the hook catchy

Maybe thats why people look past me

Maybe it's not what I'm supposed to do

But its hard when people close to you

Like what you make, at least that's what they say

I guess there's a chance that it's fake

Don't know what to make of it i just take it at face value

But I wonder what they think when face ain't there

Would I get blank stares from an audience thats never heard of me

Why does that worry me, not like i'll see them again, faces are blurred to me

21 minutes I spend on a song till I give up if I don't think its the shit, its a turd to me

Boy, does that get me pissed

Rather pass up on my shot than to take it and miss (I know it's my fault)

Ignoring the issue is bliss

Till one day, it comes to the surface, then what i tried to keep buried starts to cause fits

But i dont wanna worry about it. So i guess ill just keep doing the same shit over and over

If it's not broke don't fix it

If it never worked, time to mix it up

Don't be dumb and set limits

Focus on what's ahead, keep your head up
