I see the ashes of a ruined land
I want to change this but what if I can't
I look up to the sky and raise my hands
I need to accept I'm only a man
There's not enough keys for these locked doors
Too much blood on the ground from all this war
Too many rivers from the tears we pore
Just like eagles, let's spread our wings to soar
Pictures of us are shattered into pieces
I just wish I could smooth out all the creases
Trails of memories seem to be ceaseless
It's like poking around in a bees nest
To start a fire you just need a small spark
Fire has raged here; I can see its mark
There was in inferno inside my heart
Plunged in this sea, it's becoming dark
My heart mas now become a gaping hole
But this raging fire still lives in my soul
I want to be mended; to become whole
To make an impact and to play my role
Never knew I wasn't alone until now
He's screaming in agony without sound
I'm taking his bones and making a crown
All of his pain I am trying to push down
I was fine till the demons came
I'm listening to what they say
But now it's time for a new age
