The Trip

(Verse One)
0:12
I been a rap fiend ever since I could speak
reaching the highest peek
My technique is so flawless
the Rusty Wallace of hip hop
spitting straight fire, this here is my desire.
lets rewind before the first rhymes
before the hard times
before I seen the signs

Born in the trap! when everyday I had to scrap
with my hoodie up baseball cap under
when everyday I looked for cover
eyes peeled always aware
where every home had a beware sign
seeing the hood follow the thin white line
my life was no where near fine
fastfoward
the scared white boy avoiding the gangs
going to his room headphones blaring
glaring at the papers before his eyes
thinking of what line comes next

Always on schedule knowing every move he made was essential
having so much potential hoping to someday become influential
being the source of pain eventually made him go insane
time flew as the voices came along
always telling him to do wrong
and that he will never last long
but the kid never gave up and fought with them
day in and day out
running to his room afraid to tell his mother
hoping she never would discover

(Verse 2)

So what made me rap?
the question should be what didn't make me rap
my life I observed every thing around me
from death watching people take their last breath
to life watching a new life come into this world
it has been a long time since I thought about those times
but they say you can never escape the past
to most kids life now can be a blast

so where am I know?
no one knows
that's the life I chose
this chapter will never be disclosed
under the radar is where I belong now
I take this bow and bid you farewell
but to put everything in a nutshell
I have no regrets
I chose this road
constant beast mode
I will meet with you at the crossroad
