Better Days

Novlek's Notes

Without religion, what more do we have to believe in to get us further rather than our dreams. Why do we let our dreams slip away then?

It's beautiful, every day unusual
All your sins to me, defnitely excuseable
As long as your moveable, riding to the beat
Feeling all the energy that's bumping from the streets
That bumping outta me, energy so uplifting
It's my mission to get in the head of Christians,
And Muslims, Jews, and all you with them
Anyone who put their faith into religion
I get them, I love that it makes me proud
That a human can care so deeply, act so loud
Where we at now, when we stop believin'
Feels like treason, the coldest season
The reason aint the teasing, the teachin
Who knows, internet all have us preachin
And grieving for times we were so sheltered
Now the only thing we know is helter skelter
I felt her, she wanted to just free her mind
Sit back recline, puff an L in time
But that shine ain't found in them drink with lime
Or even at them shrines, now we're in a bind

Chorus

I'm graspin for a passion thats everlasting
A girl with a thick nigerian accent
I'm gasping for some fresh air and a fresh time
Can we ask them maybe where we stand in line
Cus today ain't nothing more than politics
And I don't read enough no more, I admit
But the sky is lit, and the faces blue
From all the kids without a dream
They aint got nothing to do
So we lazy, even going slightly crazy
For a work force just to please the one that made me
But to get that gravy, we give up lately
So dream big, it seem shit but you'll get there
Cus if I can do this rapping shit
