I'm writing to you now.
I hope it's possible to send this.
The life you're gonna know isn't average.
Don't forget it.

Your momma dies young,
Cherish all the time you have with her.
She's not around often,
She's been lost.
Beaten down,
and torn-- Up
Yup.
I guess I know what she was going through.
Life isn't simple.
You can't decide what it holds for you.

All you can do is smile.
Smile while the bad passes.
Try to live life to the fullest.
No half assin'.

Do better than me,
Live all of my dreams.
Take care of my peeps.
And go get a degree.
Make yourself proud.
Don't hold yourself down.
Chase what you deserve, love your life, how's that sound?

Simple, I know it.
So hold on to your beliefs.
You're known to abandon them all too easily
I'm begging, no, expecting,
Respect.
Don't listen to your thoughts.
Chasing fun at what cost?
Hedonistic, your lost
So let's be realistic.
Your thoughts are your weapons,
Avoid materialistic.
Regardless how your stresses,
influence your mind.
Your grandparents will die,
You will survive.
They're not all that you have.
Dad's not a bad guy.
