Surreal (Cypher Entry)

• Written by

L is for the lust that we all seem to lack
O is for the option like KD or Steve Novak
V is for the vulnerability that seems to be killing me
E is the essence and presence that leaves an impression
She doesn't prefer to call me a rapper
She'd rather say a poet with a mouth full of disasters
Her ego matches up to the size of a raptor
I can see her inside and out, every peek and every rafter
The sweet tingle of her laughter
I got my crazy tendencies and she sees past it
Sometimes I wonder if she's a professional actress
Cause when I see blackness in my sadness
She says this and that and it feels like magic
But love is a two way street
If one gets swept of their feet
The other gets tired with the urge to take a seat
And the other is flopping over on the concrete

The way I feel seems to be too surreal
Like a rude illusion from David Copperfield
I ain't one for drugs but you're my methamphetamine
We met at seventeen, in the flashy mezzanine
The music was playing and I needed a amphetamine
You were polyethylene and I was polypropylene
So I guess you could say we are a great mix
And I know I'm not making much sense
But you told me that making dollars comes after making cents
And ever since 2006, my mind is racing in 1996
Just to recollect the golden age as my last trip
I'm just looking between future's like Nostradamus
But lemme get back to reality
I actually got a gun to my head, reminiscing in the Bahamas
