...Never Fails

*spoken* Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will

fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is

knowledge, it will vanish away.

 

Let me tell you 'bout love, it's a nice tragedy

How could love himself be hanging on a tree?

How could love himself die just to set me free?

That very same love won't just let me be

If I speak in angels' tongues but I lack this one thing

It's like degrading the worth of a diamond ring

If my heart is just a broken and empty shell

Then I may as well not have any blood cells

Cuz the top two commandments involve His essence

So that can't work if I'm void of His presence

It's a present from heaven, love, grace, and mercy

See, sometimes the wrong places promise love that hurts me

Looked everywhere for love, many times in wrong places

Often times it involved familiar faces

No matter how I fall, I still run my races

Cuz I'm trusting in a God who is very gracious

Love is hard to give, but easy to get

It keeps no record of wrongs, look who's next to you in bed

Do you do this with your wife every time that you fight?

Bringing up last week's problems just isn't quite right

Bathsheba in the moonlight, that's lust of the flesh

Love ain't that stuff in movies and I must confess

It's Christ dying for us while we were dead

Time you felt it in your heart instead of just in your head

If I make my bed in hell, love is still there

Love can hear every one of my prayers

Love is patient, love is kind

The greatest of love is surely blind

If I'm able to be loved by a holy king

Then don't believe the lie that you're too far for this thing

No matter where we go, love is always there
