End of Mercy

• Written by

it's time I told you the truth, even though it hurts
We lived through even this curse, through the blood and dirt
They came out of nowhere these plagues and far worse
Shores of hell ,a city on the edge of forever, severed, no love but a lot of
anger amid the tragedy of eternal December but no snow, this is embers
before he was burnt he wailed but it was too late and he couldn't fit in a pail
I see the rings but no this ain't halo, this isn't a massacre, this is from below
it ain't gravemind, i've got a gray mind, a great mind turned a grey mine into a
slaves eyes, a pain cycle, this shadow gone viral but it ain't a virus
this is a dire thrust, a nightmare made manifest, man it's not a jest
Not a test, this is a metro, a tunnel of sadness, drabness, a last will of the
last poor kid that saw his life go up in flames like last months top 20 hits but it's
like this: there's monsters out past the limits, rivets and bolts made to make a
gun that in many ways could see past our faults and even
could scare the colts and drive past the yard line into a touch down
where we touch down and finally breath the air above now
and touch ground so we go down into the depths now and make a new life
for ourselves full of trains and towns and bullets and crowns when the
end comes, this is our land, our blood, our friends, our suns, our wind, our hands
my god, we're outmanned but the shots won't land till we give a damn and
ever we march onward, our screams like a songbird, all metal but we'll be heard
until the earth buries us onward, and we fall onto the remnants of our swords
