Stranded

• Written by

As the lord takes me further through the sea of life.
Being my safety vest, and providing me barrels of feed to survive.
On a journey for wisdom I've realized,
I've been rowing this boat in circles, not knowing how to drive.
Left should push me left, right should push me right.
But it's been the opposite the whole time.
As the ship moves it sends out waves
That rocks the boat, which forces me to tend to a chain.
The weight protects me, the lack of movement stops the quake.
But now Im stranded, no land is found, still bound to this place.
This desolate sea, this gluttonous beast, that has took my crew somewhere dark and deep.
So I try to fight the currents, I idolize the blur in, my life so I sit there and drink.
Trying to get back time, but it's past time, spend a happy hour just to sink.
Hopeless on my knees, begging God to get me free.
He whispers me words of delight, promises I can't see.
Tells me to let go of the anchor, oh here comes the anger!, why won't you just let me be!
We argue back and forth, I curse and scream!
Till its a curse to scream!
the boat creaks, the wind speaks
it occurs to scream,
the sky goes dark, the seams,
Break, my reality fades, the firmament rips, im flooded with grief.
Now I drown, my head fills up till it feels like it might explode.
Trying to swim up to reach the surface, just end up worsened, till all I own
Is my soul , but even that can only take so much pressure before it starts to fold.
And I've Been questioning the fabric of life since I was two years old.
introduced to death made me think less, instinctual fear.
When it's rooted in your flesh but your spirit led, the sirens will sing till you hear.
Frequencies untuned, I need the silence to bring me peace to my ears.
Eventually I realize I'm not dead
Realized that the fear of death, was so pact tight that I made an oath id never forget.
Ride or die, don't get much simpler than this.
Crashed out on a memory that was playing to hard to get.
Romantized with a lighter abyss.
I was truly in love, Juliette, might just die for a kiss.
My body stopped the fight, I see the light, God opened my eyes, now I'm back on the ship.
Realized I was running then got too scared to run, hit the breaks, it's been a trip.
My momma and pops grew up in these storms, I just got used to the environment.
As it raged on so did I, till all my anger rested inside.
Caused a restless mind, built up a momentum of success, just to get it wrecked. I apologize.
We live in a bi polar world, this is the plain that I rep.
Traveling millions of miles per hour seems slow
When you trying to catch up to the rest of the show.
Then the curtains get pulled back, makes you learn that action creates what's set.
Had to relearn my steps.
Let go of my bondage, trust in the Lord, let go of the stress
Now I see doves, home is on the horizon, we about to get our cut and all the galore, my crew ,keep this key to your chest.
when you hear a knock on your oak, remember the only thing ignorant, is death”
