Hey, it’s gonn’ be alright.
I know we’ve had some difficulties with each other,
Escaped some of our responsibilities, let each other suffer,
Now it’s tougher with you gone, left only ‘was a lover’,
An empty label I don’t know how to recover.
You were my buffer from it all being ‘pointless’,
I’d like to think it a mistake, but the heartbreak’s real,
Kept me awake, now the memory’s making me mindless,
A contentless feeling doing the same endless routine,
Feel it ev’ry second I stop working like I’ma damn machine,
But the tears won’t fall. guess I’m just someone else’s figurine.
//5 minutes later//:
I remember you used to wear a blue coat with ribbons
And devoted your ambition to tending ‘Forget-me-nots’ and various rose.
But now it’s just a footnote in our vision but remains my poison and antidote,
Sometimes I wish for us to share that personal anecdote,
You in an overcoat with rose, and me with ‘Forget-me-nots’, both on the speedboat
To take us away from the open road, somewhere I can hold you close, grow old,
But I guess some thoughts are meant to stay just thoughts, and if the future’s foretold
Like a report God finished a millennia ago, then our fate’s always been controlled
And destiny’s not for us to go against, hence show some amenity
To my actions that regrettably were predestined, my love.
//3 minutes later//:
Fuck destiny. You’re too much of a whimp to straight up apologise,
Categorises her with fate, then say she’s ‘ready monopolised,
Realised too late your own blunders,
Tables turned - you went from hunter to prey,
Fate cast you away so you accepted being a castaway,
Everyday, you let yourself decay further, fall into disarray
Like everything was yesterday, thinking you missed your replay…
Well there is no fucking replay if you drown yourself in alcohol,
Unable to even relay what you want to say, can’t see the pathway so brightly displayed,
Don’t ask, “Where’s the passageway?” Just stand up and fight for her and yourself.
//1 minute later//:
This isn’t ’bout me, so look, I just wanna say
I may have been outplayed by fate but that’s still not okay,
And just want to convey that halfway, when we were both away, everything went astray,
But my habits never died, though my heart died inside,
So here, your coffee with quarter sugar, over which I say sorry,
While I drink Campari, diluted with water, less bitter,
So we may not bicker in another life, and I’ll change, be no quitter,
Rearrange my life back into order, it's tough,
So goodbye now, see you, love.
//03:11//:
I was high when I recorded this.
Can't send it out. Fuck it.
Bin it.
