I guess I like you Rosemary

• Written by

Look, I'm pacing the room, got a pen in my palm,
Trying to capture the feeling, to keep myself calm.
I’m putting inside of my head what I dread,
That She’s a fable, a myth, too legit to be real,
Got me questioning everything deep that I feel.
I’m pouring my veins on the page till it’s soaked,
Every syllable bleeding from words that I choked.
Burgundy tresses drift through the cold air,
Flush pink lips stand like a silent desire.
It's driving me crazy, trying to fight truth, Staring at the ceiling,
in this room. I try to deny it, but look what you do.
Yeah. I guess I like you.
She’s the cure running straight through my brain
Sharp frames on her face, she wears 'em with grace
A beautiful picture no time can replace!
Though the miles divide us, and days drift apart,
Her name is the anthem that anchors my heart.
Her laughter's a sunrise that conquers the rain,
A timeless devotion erasing the pain.
A permanent light in the theater of night,
Yeah, she plays on the screen till the darkness takes flight.
She’s a beautiful refrain, keeping perfect time,
Every soft little laugh quickens this pulse of mine.
And her name is a whisper, a comforting song,
In a fleeting world, she’s where I belong.
A vision of velvet, that burgundy glow,
The sweetest surrender my spirit will know.
When the world gets too freezing, I close both my eyes,
See her still smiling under sun-warmed skies.
I’m Locked in the sanctuary, laughter sparkin' up the gray,
We out here chasin' ghosts, blowing all the shadows away.
Crystal devotion, yeah, we watch the distance fade,
I'm alive in the warmth that her presence made.
Yeah.I guess I like you.
