Back on the Page

I fell of the map, now I'm back in the ink
Pages were silent but I still used to think
Time in the dark made my vision expand
Now I'm writing my fate with a pen in my hand
Every scar on my soul is a line in my art
Every loss that I took had a role in my start
They forgot my name, I was dust in the wind
Now I'm craving it deeper where the legends begin
No shortcuts here, I was built from the grind
Had to lose all the noise just to sharpen my mind
Every doubt that they spoke was a weight that I dropped
Now I'm climbing back up and I won't ever stop
Back on the page where the stories ignite
Turning all of my wrongs into something that's right
Used to walk in the gray, now I walk in the flame
Every line that I write resurrects my name
From the bottom I rose, now I'm higher than before
Every chapter I bleed makes 'em beg for some more
I remember the nights when the silence was loud
Had a storm in my chest but I stood in the crowd
Fake friends faded out when the pressure got real
Now I know what is truth and I know how to feel
I don't chase what I lost, I replace what I need
Every verse is a seed that I plant when I breathe
Now the ink turns gold when it hits the page
Every line I compose is a break from the cage
I was lost in the fog but I learned how to see
Now the pen is my weapon and it's setting me free
No more running from ghosts that I used to create
I rewrite every fate that they said was my state
So I'm back on the page with a fire that's real
Every word is a scar that I learned how to heal
This is more than a verse, it's a war I survived
Every sentence I write proves I'm still alive
And when they read my name, they'll remember the sound
Of a soul that was lost... but then turned it around
