Play Ball they say,
it's the call of the day,
Baseball's here again!
Sunny and Sixties,
Boy did we miss these,
even Bleacher Hooligans!
Pass the mustard,
and buy me a Dog,
in fact, make that two.
Add ice cold beer,
sing the National Anthem,
I'm crying now, are you?
We may win,
or more likely lose,
but that's the way it goes.
Outcome be damned,
we'll stick to the plan,
and just enjoy The Show!
There's another game tomorrow,
We can get 'em next time,
If in fact we need too!
It's a summer long season,
we fans are the reason,
that they play 162!
