It was a murder!
Kenai just killed the reverend in rebellion
My fault, my attitude was telling him
The teachers swarming, holding me and him to the floor
We fight hard and break free, run out the door
They on our ass, me and Kenai peel in the Forrest
We running out of breath like a singer and a chorus
Dip behind the trees, we see them searching the area
Who knew 2 indigenous kids caused this much hysteria
Right now, our body heat keeps us warm on the interior
Then they leave us to be in the sun’s winter
Saying “they not survive long out here, mister”
They retreat it inside, we far from civilization
We in a place of constitutional disengagement
Ripping out or braids, cutting hair in all places
Putting our sage in the fire, laughing, enraging
We made it out, Kenai and I look around
We spend the night looking for things it stay alive
Sticks and Stones, fire and animal bones
We hunt for a bit, planning on how to dethrone
The church, we thinking of a way to purge
Kenai grabs the scrap paper from out his pocket
I grab my pen and we get to rockin’

A Revolution may spark tonight
You better get more artillery outside
A Revolution may spark tonight
You better get more artillery outside

Ay, god, let’s plan this out
This the route the took us in
We gotta get buff before we sprint
Look over there Kenai, you see that squirrel
We’ll eat that, then save these boys and girls
We’ll regrow their curls, we’ll rebuild our world
So let’s detail this plan we will unfurl
I saw a cave not too far away from where we are
It’s north of us, just follow the Polaris Star
Imma write a note every day to the students
Make sure they’ll never ever see the nooses
Sneak in at the back when they’re working
Slip in the note, make sure the foes don’t catch us lurking
And Kenai did, he executed the plan
Each kid that heard about knew the stance
At nightfall all of them were gonna prance
For the exit, following the star as navigation
Nightfall creeps, we stake out the plantation
A thump of noise is heard, we here racing
All the kids storm out of the “churches graces”
Headed for us, we guide them back through traces
Of sage and sweetgrass braided, no more being caged in!

A Revolution may spark tonight
You better get more artillery outside
A Revolution may spark tonight
You better get more artillery outside

Yeah yea
It’s me and Kenai now we ride guiding the jits
We justified, we all pearls, escaping the third world
From the teachers that starved us replacing sage with reefer
Drinking chemicals they say is water, but it’s ether
Now the kids and I meet up, the teachers scream us
We hide inside the cave, I open the book of our culture
They asked “Yo Kalli how did you obtain that!
I said “I asked the Creator, it was dropped in my hands by a vulture”
But no time for mythic explanations
We sitting in the cave, all of us crammed together
Gripping our sweaters making the heat better
Me and Kenai chant a psalm from our book of many things
And like that all of the children in every school grew wings
We all rise from the ground flying to the mother land
Right back inside of our lovely mothers hands
