First cold morning, breath hang in the air

Silence loud, like nobody care

Summer dreams folded in a drawer

Sun leave early, nights last more

Winter hit, friends don’t call as much

Doors stay closed, love feel outta touch

I learned hunger don’t always mean food

Sometimes warmth just a mood

Frost on the window, cracks in my pride

Money stretched thin like daylight time

World slow down, heart beat fast

Trying to make something that last

When the heat gone, who still down?

Cold expose what was pretend

Who real when the comfort end
