Rivers Flow

Still waters got depth

I used to fight the current, swear I knew the way

Trying force tomorrow into yesterday

River taught me time don’t care about plans

It carve through stone with a patient hand

Started as a drip on a mountain side

Now it feed whole cities, running worldwide

Every twist, every bend got a reason

Ain’t lost, just moving through a season

I seen calm days mirroring my peace

And rapids match the wars inside of me

But no matter how wild the waves get

The river keep going, don’t quit

 

Rivers don’t rush, they arrive

Take their time just to stay alive

Through the rocks, through the pain

Still heading where they meant to aim

Yeah, I flow, I don’t force my stride

Let the bends teach me when to slide

If the road get muddy or wide

I trust the flow, trust the ride

 

I watched water turn borders to bridges

Same stream feed kings and the villages

Never pick sides, never brag

Still hold the weight of what the land lack

They say be solid, never fold

But water show me strength in mold

It bend, it break, it rearrange

Still end up in the same place

I been wearing scars like riverbanks

Proof I stayed when others sank

Erosion hurt, but it shaped my frame

Took a little piece, gave me a name
