You ever notice how the wind never show its face?

Wind move quiet but it shape the land

Never seen, still obeyed by command

Push clouds around like chess pieces

Teach me power don’t need no speeches

I been loud before, learned that don’t last

Strongest forces move slow and pass

Wind knock doors I ain’t ready to open

Left me exposed, but more focused

It carried seeds I ain’t plant myself

Blessings came I couldn’t plan myself

Funny how the path change overnight

When you stop fighting and just let life

 

It’s the wind in my sails when I drift

Same wind try knock me off the cliff

If it push me back or pull me through

Guess it depend on what I do

Yeah, I bend, I don’t break in the gust

Learned balance, learned trust

If the world blow cold or warm

I stay steady through the storm

 

Heard rumors travel faster than truth

Wind spread stories, that’s people too

Everybody talk but don’t build nothing

Just hot air till the real work coming

I been lost, following signs in the breeze

Chasing peace, not the eyes on me

Sometimes direction ain’t a straight line

Just pressure pushing you to your right time

Head down, coat zipped tight

North wind nights had me questioning life

But every chill sharpened my skin

Taught me how to move when the odds thin

But I’m responsible for my heart

When it whisper, I listen close

When it scream, I anchor hope

Every breath just borrowed air

So I move grateful, fully aware
