Ashes in Motion

I don't rise from the dead I just move through the burn

Ashes in motion, I don't wait on my turn

Smoke in my lungs, but the heart still stern

Every loss I wore became something I earned

I don't need to be saved I just shift form

Built wings outta wreckage from the last storm

When the fire took all, I just stayed warm

And walked out the flames with a new uniform

I been cracked, been bent, been near collapse

But the glow never left, just learned to adapt

Now my scars got rhythm, and my pain got maps

So I march with the ghosts like we signed a pact

I ain't born again I evolved in the heat

Where the world saw an end, I saw the drumbeat

Taught my feet how to dance in defeat

Now every step I take got the sound of repeat

This ain't comeback, this that still-here creed

This that run-on-fumes but exceed-the-speed

This that I-fell-down-but-refused-to-bleed
