Zach And Alexis Love Story

• Written by

Right in the middle of may at the end of a school day/
my friend zach stood blank painting a dreary brick wall blue/
i had writers block so i went to walk around his ish i saw through/
his mantra was out of all of this orange and black i have you/
he was trippin on something called love/
He spoke of it cynically questioning avoiding the subject of the sentences/
why do you ask me? the painter mused pausing dramatically/
he persisted pursuing my head not for intellect but wisdom
clad in a black hoodie sleaves covering his arm suffering hearts/
momma gunna move steal love from me, it was funny/
cuz see i never revered love seriously it was just a cliche/
repeated till its meaning meant nothing just like the songs on replay/
its so absurd his girl slittin her wrist running toward those who were tearing her apart/
the building means nothing /
the memories made in the building give it a vivid image /
it becomes something as long as it exist you can color coat it/
say im a poet i dont no man im a mortal man /
tryna explain something complex in words i can/

enamoured from the start/
only if i had armor on my heart/
alexis shies away it seems the worlds against us/
even with the distance will i be breathing the next minute/
i broke you crack yo shell now you defensive im busy tryna paint a prison cell/
and if we are far apart visiting wont be enough, /
finna give up by the alarm of the ringing bell will i even ring a bell/
she runs to a jerk that treats her like dirt, ima fight hurt him/
but its soon to be done closed curtains, i tell'er cuz i love her/
but she runs the other way. he's in the halls reciting when im gone/
he crafted and stroked ensuring the blueness doesnt stain the floor/
his face reddened and looked away as if to say what do i say/
i shrugged distraught to walk away gather my thought train/
express ya self lift walls when under pressure son if it fails its not meant to be/
at least you got to say how it felt and savor beautiful memories/

at least thats what i sorta said i wish that he'd comprehend/
he got to me and probably killed my vibe/
my head was against the window when he left i saw the wall as a symbol/
im bereft of air i ran searching left to the stairs revealing i found a sign/
shocked how i come up when its too late this golden tongue aint cheap/
its funny i constantly write these pieces of advice for guidance here/
i can apply it and adhere but iots harder to teach it/
harder to reach kids preacher haven't preached this\
this life has me studying my notes again /
remembering what i wrote again when i sleep i surrender/
when i reach for pen and paper i confess to it like a priest i then render/
