Another year

Will the darkest night end, and the sun rise,

Will hope come home, will i cast away the lies,

There are years that ask questions and years that answer,

Days of sadness and days of laughter,

And faking a smile is so much easier than explaining why your sad...

When the pity is what makes you go mad,

As the years go by, how fast time can fly,

You cant hear a cry, cuz your eyes have gone dry,

Time flies, til its time to say goodbye.

 

Another year of pain, some more tears that fall like rain,

Couple more lies to explain, whole world of fuel to feed my flame,

All beauty has gone, replaced by the anger inside,

Chased after happiness, but the wind pushed it aside,

Everythings gone that kept me free,

Everyone came, that used to let me be.

 

Lifes done in a snap, even if it feels like eternity,

I cant handle, all this pain eternally,

Certainly, our Creators done this art perfectly,

But its the devil, that makes us hurt,

Its lucifer, that tells us we're dirt,

Its the serpent, that wants us to burn,

And then theres God, Who will return,

Then satan, in hells fires, will churn.

What has life come to, when all you get is looks of pure hatred,

And what is knowledge, when all your words are slurred and faded,

What is hope, that someday life could be the same,

After these years, i can keep my name,

Born of fire, those words are hollow,

Another year of sorrow,

Hoping that there will be a tomorrow,

But how can i hope that, if i can't stand another year,

If what drives me, is only my fear,

If only a new year, can be better than the last,

The future, be better than the past,

To have anything other than a knifes blade in my grasp...
