North star

• Written by

U ever stare at ur own reflection nd feel the weight of every wrong turn?
Like the chains of ur past still clingin to ur shadow?
I kno I ain’t perfect. I let the devil creep in—
lost in the streets, shackled by my own sins.
But this right here?
This fight for redemption?
This is where I stand tall.
For Aisha.
No blood cud make us closer.

No, this world can’t hold me down,
I’m built to rise, even from the underground.
Let the fire in my soul be loud,
I’ll be her rock, even when the sky falls down.
No bloodline can shape what’s real,
Love’s deeper than what a test reveals.
I’m standin tall, never backin down,
No, this world can’t hold me down.

(Verse 1)

I miss seein’ ur mothers face, but I cud feel her in the buildin,
U don’t kno how hard I prayed, hands to the ceilin.
Concrete walls, but her name stayed clear,
Whispered “Aisha” thru the static in my spirit, sincere.
DNA won’t define me—I redefine fate,
No ink on a paper cud scribble love away.
I’m still gon’ be there, braidn her hair,
First steps, first words, first time she scared.
I’ll be her shelter when the storm clouds hover,
Not her blood by birth, but u got me nd ur moms forever.
Yeah, we both fell hard—the lines we crossed,
It was the poison in our veins that made us both lost.
But I’m back now—bare knuckles to the fight,
Ten toes in the mud, still reachin for the light.

(Verse 2)

I kno trust got holes in it—leakin like rain,
But I’ll patch it with proof, no more empty claims.
Gon’ show u thru grind, not words alone,
Built a palace from the gravel that the devil once owned.
Let the judges judge, let the whispers talk,
I’m on my feet now, while the doubters walk.
I’ll be the one she calls when her world shakes,
Teach her how to mend hearts when her own breaks.
No force on this earth cud erase my vow,
I’m her shield, her sword—I’m here right now.
Blood don’t shape love—it’s the hands that hold,
It’s the voice that calms when the nights get cold.
I’m here for the tears, the smiles, the falls,
For every dream she chases, every time she calls.

(Verse 3)

I’m still standin, fists clenched with grace,
Every scar on my skin now a medal I embrace.
Let the past be the dirt that I bloom from,
The cage was my grave—but I rose when the doom come.
I’m here, no chains, no shame, no fear,
No stain from my past gon’ hold me here.
I’m Aisha’s north star, her day-one guide,
Through the storms, through the flames, still right by her side.
Let the doubters watch while I claim this crown,
I ain’t breakin—nah, this world can’t hold me down.
I’ll be there when she climbs, when she falls, when she dreams,
When she questions the world nd what loyalty means.
No test, no label gon’ change my place,
I’m here for life—her protector, her safe space.
