Say what you want about me but you better believe I'm a survivor to my core

This white boy from West Baltimore has been through more than you could endure

I've had bullets miss my head by inches and overdosed on heroin using syringes

Drug addiction is pernicious and trying to kill yourself that way is motherfuckin' vicious

I wanted revenge on my parents for ruining my life so I wanted them to watch me die slowly

So at 16 years old I started shooting heroin but I don't think they even cared remotely

For the next 22 years I was on every drug you can imagine, constantly chasin' the dragon

I overdosed multiple times but after 22 years I decided to quit street drugs and get on the wagon

How many of you have had a gun stuck in your face and lived to tell the story?

I don't talk about this shit to brag, get famous or gain anything, I don't do it for glory

I just tell the truth so maybe you'll see that if I can survive all this shit you can too

Or maybe it'll make you realize you don't have it that bad from my point of view

I've been used and abused and treated like shit by the people who supposed to be family

I've been through Hell and back and most of my life has been a big fuckin' calamity

I've been dead and brought back to life two times and I've been to prison for committing crimes

I've survived enough to last ten lifetimes yet here I am happy, loving life and writing rhymes

This is a small taste of everything I've been through if I can survive so can you

Even if all you have is yourself that's a good enough reason to come to your own rescue

You can get through anything if you try all you gotta do is not lay down and die

I don't mean to oversimplify look deep into yourself and there's a warrior to identify

Here's the key, once you identify the warrior within you have to set it's ass free

Once you've been through the right amount of bullshit you'll be a crazy ass G

Never say never and never give up and forever absolutely refuse to surrender

Don't fold under the pressure and fight like an animal until you get put on a stretcher

The only way I'd ever be beaten is when I'm dead cuz you gonna have to kill me to win

I'm a "victory at all costs" kinda guy and I'll do anything it takes to win and that includes sin

I'll break the 6th commandment if necessary, believe I'm way willing to get scary

Fuck around and find out and you'll just be another fuckin' corpse I need to bury

And we all know, hard times make strong people

So after these hard times, maybe life can be a little more peaceful,

And the people with easy times, get your head outta video games, and into reality,

And maybe you'd be able to gain some more sanity,
