Garth's Room - Day

 

Garth (cooing and babbling, eyes wide with wonder as the screen lights up): Gurgle... ba-ba-ba... (translation: This is it, my favorite movie!)

 

Jen and Kira (on the screen): Jen, the last of the Gelflings, embarks on a quest to heal the Dark Crystal.

 

Garth's Mom (smiling, watching Garth's reaction): "You really love 'The Dark Crystal,' don't you, Garthy?"

 

Garth (excitedly kicks his legs and waves his tiny fists): Goo-goo! (translation: Yes, Mom! This is the best part!)

 

Skeksis (on the screen): The evil Skeksis plot to maintain their power by draining the essence from other beings.

 

Garth (scrunches up his face, a hint of concern): Waah... goo... (translation: Those Skeksis are scary, but I know Jen and Kira will save the day!)

 

Garth's Mom (gently rocking Garth): "Don't worry, sweetie. The good always triumphs over evil."

 

Aughra (on the screen): Aughra, the wise seer, provides guidance to Jen on his journey.

 

Garth (entranced by the mystical world, eyes sparkling): Gah... gah-gah! (translation: Aughra is so cool!)

 

Garth's Mom (softly): "Look at you, so captivated by the magic and adventure. You're going to be an explorer, my little Gelfling."

 

Garth (coos contentedly, snuggling into his mom's arms): Mmm... (translation: I love watching 'The Dark Crystal' with you, Mom.)
