NEVER PEACE

VERSE 1:
Take it back to Columbine, we think about it all the time,
Eric and Dylan hold their Tecs, make the kids fall in line,
and pick 'em off, one by one, make it flow like a pencil,
they had you in the dark, you got it hid in the trenchcoat,
ad they came from two-parent comfortable households,
fast forward to poor neighborhoods, the shit is out cold,
but no one gives a fuck, nobody barely bats their eyes,
and when it strikes in the ghetto even the passer-byes,
I've lived both, I been in the 'hood working at a factory,
assembly line, poverty line, and the food stamps line,
that made me fall in line, I remember 'em slanging crack,
and nobody even cared, strapped gats hanging back,
and I've been middle class, I wasn't even close to murder,
I had a back yard and my own room, so I go berserker,
when I see the poor get no representation in the news,
and middle class people get angry, debatin' all your views,
and they mistake my frustration for hatred all confused,
they would be ragin' up too with a day up in our shoes,
it doesn't matter if it happens in the projects, Section 8,
where you qualify for Medicaid, we're are left to wait,
it seems that the crime rate would never ever change,
it fills up my chest and my mind with this hellish rage,
there's never peace on the streets, it's all a mind state,
that ghetto youths need fast cash, so our crime rate,
and as I walk these mean streets, I walk through Hell,
I guess that those youths need someone to talk to, Hell,
and will these problems be fixed? Only time will tell,
but when you have nothin' around you but rocks to sell,
and that provides, then you gotta take advantage of it,
but damn, some people like it, they understand and love it,
and I stand above it, though I have the essence of streets,
it seems that no one understands, there will never be peace
