Paper and Ink

• Written by

Let me drop some truth about this thing we call wealth
It's like a double-edged sword, it's bad for your health
Money talks, but it also corrupts
Turns friends into foes and dreams into dust
It can lift you up, but it can drag you down
Make you feel like a king or just a clown
But when the bills pile up and the debts start to creep
You realize money ain't nothing but a dream that's cheap
Money, money, it's a complicated thing
It can make you dance or make you sing
But in the end, it's just paper and ink
Don't let it control you, don't let it sink
Some say it's the root of all evil, others call it power
But when you're broke and hungry, it's your darkest hour
It can buy you fancy cars and designer clothes
But it can't buy you love or heal your woes
It's a game of haves and have nots, a constant chase
But it's also a tool to uplift the human race
So let's use it wisely, let's spread it around
And remember that true wealth is found in what we've found
So whether you're rich or whether you're poor
Remember what really matters, what's worth fighting for
'Cause in the end, when all is said and done
It's not about the money, it's about the love
