8 years old when I moved to deep south/

Hush hush business, creeping when the creeps out/

Asking for forgiveness, spitting golden teeth out/

Marshmallow boy but I never let a peep out/

 

Had a couple friends but they all disappeared/

Dead or the drug life hit 'em like a spear/

The bread from the thug life's green like a Chia/

Left 'em in the dust, nah nah boo don't wanna be ya/

 

Had my own dreams to achieve - John Lennon/

Fake rappers' rather sit home, whipping in the kitchen/

'Bacon' soda's for the pigs and the wanna-be chemists/

I'd rather kick tunes and scribble out a couple disses/

 

I'd rather kick dudes tryna bully the world/

Go ahead say it, my name is for girls/

Heard it all my life, shelled up like a pearl/

Now it's time to quit caring, gotta give it a whirl,

 

Lost every male rolemodel I had/

Grandpa, great G, and even my Dad/

Death don't phase me it just makes me mad/

Seeing all these people giving up what they had/

 

So now I live life like I have one chance/

I'm grabbing control and I'm changing the plans/

I'm flipping the script like its hot in a pan/

Reverse expectations, anyone of you can/

 

One lesson we learn when we're still a kid/

Time is a currency that we cannot spend/

So never give up, keep trying again/

Get to the top and then climb it again/

 

Never just stop because of opinion/

Even diamonds are rocks before they get cleansed/

So never let anyone's words lock you in/

Use it against them and emerge with a win/

 

Achieve the goals you want, as long as its positive/

Make sure to play smart, brawns under cognitive/

And make sure to give back to the people who need it/

Because not everybody's lucky, some just crumble, defeated/

 

Beat down from all the words that they had to compete with/

Shout a couple verbs, let 'em know they're still breathing/

And pass on this message whenever you get a feeling/
