Saw a man I knew on the news
Couldn't believe it happened so soon
His name was Terell, he wasn't a goon
Many things about the shooting can't be assumed
the place that it happened, the timing of the wounds
The way it went down, how they snuffed him out
Sure it was a bad part of town, but there were family's around
Shooting him in front of small children
What the fuck is wrong with them
He wasn't even a gang member or a
He was just there when
they chose to indefinitely suspend
The life that he had left in him
Not trying to offend but how ridiculous is that
To think that's part of being a real man is
Coming after a stranger with a gat in hand
To shoot another man simply because that's what you had planed
Murders every night, violence with no end
The place our parents grew up in is already dead
The City of Rochester is coming to a head
In a few more years the police won't even defend
Against the scum raised as part of the system
No choice was given, no opportunity had risen
No wonder they don't listen after the life they have been living
Everything but a family was given, They never got taught the sense to listen.
Sometimes people have to struggle to learn how to listen
You can't just give and give them, that's the glitch with the system
To find an end we must all listen, become more educated, and vote different.
Stop all this bullshit about "the politicians just won't listen, they make all the promises so we re elect them"
So get off your ass and help change the system
You sit there and watch the news in your kitchen, pay attention to all the distractions you're given
Not worried about drones as long as they stay away from your homes
They hack into your gmail to stop you from evil?
You complain but still don't get off your ass and obtain what it takes to stop the fucked up game
They play with our money, enslave us like cattle.
They call it a tax but when was the last time you looked at the facts.
New class of people, we'll call them chattel
Working poor is the term most can handle
Give them things like minimum wage and a job they can work
What you don't realize is your money goes into their purse
They spend on things like breaking up "drug rings"
The land of the free has the most imprisoned beings
The prison owners become big spenders, as the jails fill with non violent offenders
The congress is bought, the whole thing a fix
We ride bikes and they fly in private jets
All of them have multiple homes, when's the last time you got approved for a small lone?
It's about serving your country not finding where the funds be.
Get your shit together, stop ruining my country.
