Questions for the System

• Written by

How does one succeed when your friends are turning enemies
I hope you hear my plea don't bring no twisted energy
We all pretend to be okay within ourselves
but around every corner lurks our deep dark destinies
Centuries of time pass still no common ground
Maybe I'm a renown clown I'm never found
I come from a little town with some big faces
Im too young for the settle down I wanna go big places
But for now I'm held down by things a can't control
Maybe I'm the best alive or maybe I'll never blow
Maybe we will never know
The spark is kept alive by some groups and individuals
How do you beat the system when you can't see it
Maybe it's impossible thats why we feel defeated
You gotta be it to believe it
Thats why the kids are always scheming
They dreaming of the things to come
Plan on selling drugs but then they end up being bums
Maybe they were blessed but now their in the slums
Look to the stars above my friend they will guide you
It's a concrete jungle I wanna survive too
But whats the point if you can't help a brother out
Everyone drowning but were in a summer drought
Everyone backstabbing in circles, roundabouts
Friends turning commercial care for profound amounts
How does one succeed when its all about your greed
Eating up money like its growing on some trees
Not to speak butterflies cause they caterpillars see
Too scared so they tell a lie cover up in green
The cities never sleep, and neither do the people
Committees in the streets, neither good neither evil
All jumps and stunts like their last name was Knievel
You need to go to church raise you hands like they steeples
Just a bunch of cunts paper chasin' what could be do
I know the pain hurts but the plan is rather equal
We take down governments and then we build a renew
We've already fucked the planet, don't deserve a sequel
