Lyrical Analysis of...
Who I Am
- Stuck here in Clarksburg, West Virginia tryin to figure out who i am,
- Deeply thinkin if i should stay or go fight along with my brothers and Uncle Sam.
- Mom and dad want me schoolin, thought about it but thats not who i am.
- Anymore education is a joke, and our military is a scam.
- Economy worsening, soon no jobs/ help us God, here take this lamb.
- Maybe somethin will come along to pick us up out this jam,
- Anything that can assist me in finding out who i am.
- Chorus:
- Please oh please i beg you, just tell me who i am,
- i know that you can hear me/i just need your helping hand.
- Help me out this hole/ before my soul get damned.
- I dont wanna burn/pray before He reprimands.
- One nation under.. oh wait thats not allowed,
- the government controls all/sent us into drought.
- I can't help it/now im walkin round with a slouch,
- Used to be proud/now a member in a riots crowd.
- Who I am, is too corrupt now/my minds darker, than a stormy cloud,
- enshrouded with immense pain/blocked out sun pales my brain.
- Good Lord will help us sustain/come one day and He'll explain.
- Loved ones lost in the fray/ relationships slain/bloody hands stained.
- Sky darkens too an ugly grey/hate falls just like heavy rain,
- still in search of who i am/sanity contains this man/as i draw out a plan.
- Chorus:
- Please oh please i beg you, just tell me who i am,
- i know that you can hear me/i just need your helping hand.
- Help me out this hole/ before my soul gets damned.
- I dont wanna burn/pray before He reprimands.
