BUILDING BLUEPRINT
Next level lyrical insight is a moment away.
Lyrical Analysis of...
The Puppet Master (I Pull the Strings)
- Peeled away the billboards, I see the real, I feel more
- A boot stamping on a face, but it’s cramping, raw, the heel’s sore
- Employed by our own government to fight this corrupt system
- This vicious symbolism envisioned, handcuffed by the wrists
- Shit, these elderly preachers ain’t teaching, touch on altar boys so easily
- Day after day on the TV screens is the shit that we fear to see
- It’s become so clear to me, that we blinded by our ineptitude
- We trying to elect a dude that’s trying to play us the Trump card right
- That’s why we accept to lose
- Taken in by the seduction of misery, again and again replaying history
- Until I realised that everything that I see ain’t what it appears to be
- So I cut the strings, and pulled away the rotten shrink wrap
- I think back, to when the blindfold was intact
- Now it lies in tatters, hashtag black lives matter
- They wrap lies to trap us, black and white eyes are damaged
- The old divide and conquer, phone tapped our grown conscious
