BUILDING BLUEPRINT
Next level lyrical insight is a moment away.
Lyrical Analysis of...
Analog
- {Verse 1}
- I did what I had to do, what else could I do?
- Would you rather love me, or a different version of me too?
- Voices in my head keep presenting different variations,
- Different adaptations—shit still needing translation.
- Conversations with myself bleed into isolation,
- Every explanation turn into another accusation.
- So much third party trauma, somehow I put that shit on me,
- Certain deaths still weigh like, "Yeah, motherfucker, that was me."
- Like I pulled the strings, like somehow I caused the grief,
- Like surviving everybody meant responsibility.
- That's a fucked up kind of loyalty, suffering faithfully,
- Won't make enough to make a living off these royalties.
- But I'm still spending every piece of me across these beats,
- Thirty four years this year, wore the soles beneath my feet.
- Walked this life from one end damn near to the other,
- Still discovering different versions of myself under the covers.
- Static in my thoughts, distortion in the memories,
- Signal getting weaker every time they try remembering me.
- Still transmitting pieces of myself through every frequency,
- If nobody hears it now, these recordings gonna speak for me.
- {Hook}
- They can fade my voice,
- But can't take what I stand for.
- Can't take what I fight for,
- Can't erase what I came for.
- I'm analog—
- Getting drowned out by the digital.
- Still screaming through the static though,
- Tryna make 'em feel something physical.
- I'm analog,
- I'm analog,
- Turn me down, I still bleed through.
- You can drown me in the digital,
- But you can't make me less true.
- {Verse 2}
- Thoughts out the window like none of this matters,
- Should've took more of this shit in my own hands.
- Poor education, couldn't understand the sentence,
- Now I'm serving my own personal convictions.
- Doom in my vision, still searching for definition,
- Every bad decision came with its own tuition.
- Life was the professor, pain handled admissions,
- Never got a degree, still graduated through conditions.
- Analog mind in a digital prison,
- Everybody broadcasting, ain't nobody really listening.
- Algorithms tell 'em what deserves their attention,
- While I'm bleeding through the static with a different transmission.
- Maybe I don't fit inside the system they designed,
- Maybe that's the reason I keep falling out of line.
- If the signal gets buried, turn the motherfucker higher,
- I ain't changing my frequency just to fit inside the wire.
- {Hook}
- They can fade my voice,
- But can't take what I stand for.
- Can't take what I fight for,
- Can't erase what I came for.
- I'm analog—
- Getting drowned out by the digital.
- Still screaming through the static though,
- Tryna make 'em feel something physical.
- I'm analog,
- I'm analog,
- Turn me down, I still bleed through.
- You can drown me in the digital,
- But you can't make me less true.
