Lyrical Analysis of...
They Got Me On The Run
- It’s hard living with warrants, trying to avoid the law enforcement
- It’s hard to trust, when you’ve been snitched on by informants
- So I ride along solo just trying to keep it low key
- Praying to god, that Im not noticed by the police
- I can’t even go and drop my daughter off to her school
- Even though all of her friends think that my car is so cool
- I ain’t even went and seen my grandma in like three years
- Thinking about her health problems really brings me to tears
- What can I do, what can I say, tell me is there another way
- I can’t even really sell crack, I pray to hit a parley
- My baby mamma is still bitching, why she won’t listen
- She don’t understand that it’s my probation officer who’s trippin
- All she cared about was getting weed and fucking true religion
- Had me in the kitchen every night grinding on a mission
- Now all of a sudden, it’s like you should of had a job
- But she was the getaway driver every time I went to rob
- I get super paranoid anytime that I hear a door knock
- Scared to death that my house is surrounded by dork cops
- Even if I change states, I’ll just end up extradited later
- Plus it would be extra hard, for me to get to the paper
- I don’t trust my neighbors they ask for too many favors
- I feel like they got cameras tucked inside there newspaper
- My mother is stressed because I had to replace her door
- The cops left her house looking like a looted store
- And it’s all my fault, my dumb decisions that Ive brought
- If you don’t hear from me again, then they got me locked in a vault
- I’ll never tell so im definitely one day going to my cell
- Time to try to save some money for my high ass bail
