Lyrical Analysis of...
Letter To Me
- //One of many pieces I started and never finished long time ago. It was like a self inspiration kinda how I started on RapPad story. I was gonna record it, I even lost the original beat off my hard drive lol. I always had it in my mind to come back to this because looking now, some generic lines, it could be written better and more detailed but that's the thing about stories, sometimes, keep it genuine how it happened, how about preserving the story about how I started writing this story... Lol so I'm dropping it like that. Reason why is, yes, first, you got me, I'm a lazy ass. But if you guys have heard about Storm's recent health condition, it made me realize there's no point holding this, I'm already late with this release because many of the people are no longer here on the site... and life is fragile man, if you got something to say, give flowers to the people, don't delay it

- I used to listen hip hop wishin' I could beat snap
- From Need For Speed soundtracks to Snoop Dogg's [heat drop](silly, at that time i thought that was a bar lol, drop it like it's hot reference)
- And the other themes popped from DMX street raps
- Then Tupac's deep tracks, it was an unique lapse
- Life jewels dropping made me a live fueled rocket
- And despite the whirlwind drinking nyQuil, joggin'
- And though I was wise still, had to pay life's bills
- Climbing up the high hill, heart colder than an iced steel
- Had to make my mind thrilled, before it turned to a fried meal
- Thinking of a time kill, wondered what could I build
- I don't have a knight build, I gotta be twice skilled
- Not a standard talker, you could say I'm shy, chill
- Fuck moment of inertia, can't get by by listening
- I was penning writtens then that are tight and glistening
- I started out inspired though my bars misfired
- But the desire was kinda therapeutic
- Cuz I wasn't fluent in the theory of music
- Absent smoke and fire I was kinda clueless
- I told myself prior and said i'm not gon do it
- Ordinary love shit four Joe Budden
- Play a beat on bad phone still I'm gonna speak back
- You could drop your feedback or have your sweet laugh
- I'll be on my feet back, havin' fun with reef sharks
- Cause I be the beach jack, catch me in my fleet ark
- Mind blower, rhyme flower, you see doubles like Noah
- That was B.I.G's if ya eyes can't see

- Cuz man I remember, when I became a RapPad member
- Been years since my dad's passing in the winter of December
- I couldn't write yet on beat but had heat on the sheet
- Didn't rap in the street I made some internet feats
- Since the first track they felt me, they told me I was deadly
- Man I was neck deep, I never felt empty
- Tagging legends on Twitter, to check my new scripture
- Small time grinders, never seen the big figures
- Some of 'em responded and said I was real dope
- But most of 'em just wind blown, I mean it's just a lyric post
- I saw I could be hittin' though, that gave me confidence
- So now I can document, my conscience in confidence
- It helped me reflect whenever I'd need courage
- Whether I bleed or flourish, it's a permit for my service
- Feel compelled to create, let the pressure translate
- Restless when awake without no sun I vegetate
- And if I quit dropping, it was never my choice
- It's when the world breaks me down and have me swept in a void
- But for now I keep going cause it's better than noise
- And someday I'll read this letter to hear my own voice
- To Get me out the misery when the floor gets slippery
- Writing down my history to help myself mentally
- Let me run it down, every smile, every frown
- And like 2Pac said... Tearz of A Clown

- You know I was postin', everything cool
- And Bella still told me "you merit things too"
- Just lock gear you'll become God tier
- I've seen people where they're dope in one year
- But I wasn't tryna hear, some teenage dumb fear
- How I'm gonna get in near with a blunt spear
- But I kept going and I kept flowing
- Then ShapeShift brought something that made me do recordings
- I was shy regardless, crossed boundaries and wrote it
- Flow it, record it, I felt like it was flawless
- He told me it's dope shit, nothing I can't cope with
- Until this day I'm noting, until I split my nose bridge

- BELLVADEAR found me and she started propping loudly
- I did our first collab with Spartan down beside me
- I was feeling the love, had me heavy breathing flushed
- It was like a police club everybody had machine guns
- When I met EZ Khay, oh man what a day
- My first time on a beat had to learn to cut some shapes
- And it was okay everybody felt my flows
- Being part of a community those days felt like home
- Storm came across and Bxile hit it off
- Man I was feeling lost with these guys spitting flows
- Cuz they was so dope I was a newborn missing clothes
- Had to stitch my own style, now my fit is custom sewn
- It's 2021, and Covid's still a bump
- It fucks my uni years but family friends givin' sums
- And oh we still got this Infinity Pens crew
- And yes we spit in our bedrooms, scouting for the next troop
- Inducted by Storm and Trill whatever walks we kill
- I be sharpening my pen till it morphs to steel
- And I did a cypher with Apollo and Lucius
- And we don't sound studious but we a problem for hooligans
- Cuz the rest of 'em dubious
- [Pulled out the track cuz they couldn't compute with us](that's a real story, everybody was hyped to record, 3 of us recorded and whole server pulled out lol), the flows were too nuclear
- NorStar gave us props, long timer OG
- Somebody send that man, the finest whores please
- Clyde put it on the radio of the 'Pad
- To me that's crazy though, off the bat
- I'm still in my baby clothes with these awkward raps
- I guess I maybe've grown through that circumstance
- And Trill spit gangsta shit, looking for adequate candidates
- You might be too wack for this if you didn't get bracketed
- Psycho's like the boss, organizing every post
- He be fucking them hoes, that's why he's the HOST
- cartographin' every coast, hard to find a better coach,
- And we have Maverick ,one of the dopest here
- no one close this year, in his own golden tier
- Osiris and a bunch of others, on fire, even after the smoke is clear,
- That's when most'll see it
- And others I never met 'em, I've heard of LadyVenom
- Cuz chicks can rap too and smoked plenty great men
- Like Saturnian she murkin' em, no need to twerk for 'em
- She taught me multi rhymes she's one of those 1 percent
- That made me feel dumb about my pen. and till this day I call friend
- Swear I don't pretend, I keep it real, amen
- evolution was meant, back to searching solutions again
- Slinging and drinking, this rap hallucinogen
