BUILDING BLUEPRINT

Lyrical Analysis of...
The Rain
- This life’s like rain, it falls in just a wink,
- Falling to earn your reign, or falling to the brink.
- Falling to strengthen roots, or fill you up with ooze,
- And if we come to mine, my life was made of wounds,
- If I caught a spear, another struck a fatal bruise,
- I believed I'm color blind, ’cause I only see the blues.
- I’ve got a lot of blessings, with only one point of view,
- Sadness will last forever, in fall and springtime too.
- I only got one question: what is the point of this life?
- Why do we deny death, yet meet it with a surprise?
- Why do we love life, with all this sorrow and gloom,
- And run forever from death, knowing it’s the only truth?
- Some people search for immortality, to live their lives in brutality,
- Or live for thousands of years, and forget their fatality.
- But when I look to reality, I wonder why they bite,
- With their teeth on this life, wishing to live without demise.
- We chase a fading light, though darkness fills our sight,
- Holding on to breaths, like they won’t end one night.
- We build our fragile dreams on moments bound to die,
- Still begging time to stay, while watching it pass by.
- I've lived searching for the truth—does hope really exist?
- Or is it just a fairy tale, in the tale of every myth?
- I was never scared of death, but scared of the unknown,
- Will I rise into the heavens, or burn there all alone?
- If meaning’s in the struggle, is pain then not in vain?
- I’ll face the final silence… and see what comes with rain.
