Lyrical Analysis of...
Young Girl Lost
- A young girl I met her up in the ninth grade
- Her fine face got me instantly traced to her way
- We didn’t talk for a few months tho we eye played
- Then she broke up with her boyfriend, what a shame
- In fact it was my friend, I kinda felt bad in a way
- But he wasn’t phased, saying “have your way”
- Okay, I text her at night and talk throughout the day
- And school we were cool, always talking away
- In the hallways we talked, she walked sexy
- My own self was saying “I’m glad she met me”
- Had a cool smile, a beautifully loved child
- Her parents proud, as we pranced around
- I saw her at a dance with her friends around
- But I didn’t approach, I felt way too down
- Instead that same night she done asked me out
- There’s a game we can go see tomorrow night
- I said “alright” hiding my smile from her light
- And like that I was getting closer to someone I liked
- Diamonds all shining, looking all fine
- Pretty little face alway getting high
- Mother of this Earth, she made you and I
- Just tired of playing the same old games
- Messing with my heart, emotional pain
- (And there goes a young girl, mislead)
- Her iris, so pristine, teeth cleaned, body priceless
- We met up at night, kid, then we greeted each other
- My ass thought that we needed another
- But was just another human filling her covers
- And I noticed that, she really wasn’t the nicest
- It was a slight twist in perspective, so I ghosted her the same night, kid
- In fact I told her she was mean, full of pride and self greed
- Always talking about herself above her friends
- I thought damn, I can’t be with someone like this
- She got passed after that like a light on a spliff
- We stopped talking, we casually went out our own paths
- She and I never grasped to the memory we had
- I’m glad, at last we can finally move past
- Over time she had many other man that tapped
- Her style, over complimenting for her smile
- They weren’t ever in loved, they wanted her body, it was wild
- And I’m here not talking to any other women around
- So who’s foul? Me not talking to any other
- Because of the image that I have of another
- Or being her inviting any man into her covers
- Diamonds all shining, looking all fine
- Pretty little face alway getting high
- Mother of this Earth, she made you and I
- Just tired of playing the same old games
- Messing with my heart, emotional pain
- (And there goes a young girl, mislead)
- 2 years later I never thought about her again
- But when I hit 11th grade we got to make amends
- We got to talking again, like we did back when
- I was rocking a bad haircut and a pack of mints
- Now I’m much more mature, stacking my chips
- I’m unfortunately flattered that we’re talking again
- But only for month, after that I realized
- She was a weed smoker, filled with red eyes
- My friends told me she was immensely filled with pride
- And if you dine with her than Josh, good luck guy
- Then I told her again, we ain’t for each other
- She agreed, now it’s permanent like blood brothers
- But soon later she found a boyfriend, very cool
- I felt like a fool, maybe I’m the problem but dude
- How am I supposed to know she no one clues
- Me in, she wins, she’s living her dream and honestly
- I can’t be mad, I congratulate her softy
- My buddy went to her party for her birthday
- And said I made a good decision, not to worr ay
- He said she was so drunk she fell onto her face
- And left her boyfriend in a corner, never saying hey
- To him, and then I felt a little better
- But I feel like I could’ve maybe helped her
- But I guess we’ll never know, my heart dealt a
- Weird hand, don’t know if this is God’s plan
- But I hope he heals me and her as well man
- Cuz damn
- Diamonds all shining, looking all fine
- Pretty little face alway getting high
- Mother of this Earth, she made you and I
- Just tired of playing the same old games
- Messing with my heart, emotional pain
- (And there goes a young girl, mislead)
