Lyrical Analysis of...
Crispy
- Did I tell either of you to “shut up”? No
- I told you both to stop making RapPad an even more deplorable place with this petty squabbling. Specifically, I said not to keep publicly throwing shit at each other, the platform he pretty much dead due to it. Nobody’s been giving or getting feedback, nobody is risking propping others, because they don’t want to get swept up in the shut storm THE BOTH OF YOU keep perpetuating. NOW I’m going to tell you, the both of you, to shut up
- You don’t like each other, you’ve made it clear and everyone knows it. Go your separate ways or handle this shit in private, this is a platform for lyrics, not schoolgirl bickering
- They’re sick of it
- You’re both sick of it
- People losing traction for their work are sick of it
- I’m sick of it
- EVERYONE is sick of this
- Handle it privately
- Or shut up
- I wasn’t in the tournament
- Like most here I was minding my own business
- And just like them, I’m sick of it
- Neither of you are contributing to the goal of this platform at the moment
- At least handle your shit lyrically if it’s gonna be public
- ———
- But I’ll also address some ignorance while I’m at it
- Crispy:
- >>“Also yeah i said the N word so what.
- >>If you actually know your history you know its actually a white slur.
- >>Because white people were the first slaves lol.
- >>Also never said I wanted to join the Kkk I said "I kill niggers like the kkk"
- This shit? Never okay. Even if you were black it would still not be okay
- >>Clearly as the word nigger does not mean black person it means ignorant.
- >>Which was a word for all slaves btw because they weren't viewed as human but instead cattle.
- Wrong. The most basic etymologic explanation for the word nigger traces its origin to the Latin word “niger”, which means black. As the world evolved so did the word “niger” which was used as the noun “negro”, which is used to describe a black person of African, Caribbean and African American descent, just to name a few. It is simply the same, as the color Black “in Spanish and Portuguese as how Black is used in English today
- In Early Modern French, niger eventually became negre and, later, negress for a black woman. If one listens to an actual pronunciation of the French word “negre” and the derogatory nigger –and earlier English variants such as negar, neegar, which also evolved in English, it is easy to surmise that nigger is a phonetic spelling of the Southern mispronunciation of the word Negro
- By the early 1800s it was firmly established as a denigrative epithet. Almost two centuries later, it remains a chief symbol of racism, anywhere in the world, but most specifically in the United States
- >>Which Africans weren't even the second slaves in American soil.
- That would be the “native Indians”
- And then: https://www.thehistoryreader.com/us history/american slavery time line/#:~:text=August%2020%2C%201619%20%E2%80%93%20Twenty%20Africans,but%20are%20promised%20their%20freedom.
- >>First it was white people who were slaved by other white people(on American soil anyway)
- No.
