  8. I had become like the men I called Uncle back when,
  9. I was a kid, I didn't wanna turn to a bad Uncle like Rick when
  10. my Dad died back then.
  11. He showed me no love what so ever,
  12. I was barely keeping it together.
  13. He had his chance to help, but he only thought of himself,
  14. he ignored me and my mental health,
  15. but I grew up a Hume so I expected nothing else.
  16. But enough about that jerk, when he saw me hurt,
  17. he had one job but wouldn't do the work.
  18. See since February 6, '96, I promised to be a Uncle better than those dicks,
  19. I'll never become like those prick's. I swore to be an ally in their wars,
  20. stay one call away to settle scores.
  21. And I kept my word til I was 24,
  22. when I lost myself and plenty more.
  23. See, I was broken to pieces,
  24. and lost my relationships with my Nephews and Nieces.
  25. I was lost in a dark life, a pic of my Nieces kept my knife at bay,
  26. I had a million reasons every day, to end my life and go away,
  27. but I only needed two reasons to stay.
  28. First was to get drugs out my way,
  29. second was seeing those kids one day.
  30. So in 2010 I tore my life down to rebuild it again.
  31. Now 8 years later, I've silenced all my haters.
  32. I'm clean and sober but that fights never over.
  33. But I'll never fail, let the crack fall like hail,
  34. no matter the storm I will not bail,
  35. my life boat won't sink with these kids as my sails.
  36. It's's been 8 years and I finally beat my fears,
  37. I'm free and clear, drugs aren't causing me tears,
  38. I haven't even had liquor or beers for like 5 years.
  39. I love how my life appears,
  40. even though I hate looking in mirrors.
  41. I just hope I look like an Uncle Yo, as well as a psycho,
  42. so don't fuck with them or Uncle Mike yo.
  43. Because I'll go back to being the old Mike bro.
  44. And that's someone I don't like so,
  45. be careful and don't make Uncle Mike blow.
  46. Just let me be the calm Uncle Mike
  47. instead of Mike E the atom bomb.
