CHALLENGER'S RAP

• The words are being written but lack a destination.
• I'm supposed to write disses not knowing for whom they're designated.
• That's insanity. Words built of blind hate could never be conceived in me.

• So if it's alright, I'll write my 27 lines about things that I do see:
• Man in the mirror;
• Man, this'll be a doozy.
•  
• Standing in fear of;
• "Stand, and do speak"
•  
• Planning to tear up,
• Plans he can't reach.
•  
• Too scared to face a reality too unreal to believe.
• Too blared to face a truth too hard to perceive.
• Too high to see my life crumble beneath me.
• Too stoned to care; it's comfortable on the clouds of false reality.
•  
• Background:
• 10th grade and prior I was cynical and pessimistic,
• A painful youth left me broke 'n' with scarred wrists.
• That summer I found a girl that I thought had fixed it.
• But after she left I've never been a more hopeless kid;
• So now I'm back-a-round with hopes to fit in,
• But the joints never been passed-a-round,
• Cause I never had any friends to smoke it with.
• 18 years of age, no idea where to begin.
• I'm too scared to speak cause if I do they won't listen.
• I'm too scared to dream cause if i do they're too distant.
• I'm too scared to be cause what if who I am isn't
• The person everyone else wants me to be.
