CHALLENGER'S RAP

• Every Friday night I'm staring at the sky
• Trying to figure out why a God would let himself die
• Why he would give his life for an endangered species
• Believe me when I say the poachers had Uzis

• That Friday, that was the darkest night ever seen
• Batman ain't got nothing on the death of that king
• We were crying, he dying, blood seeped from everywhere
• Where was his father? his disciples? not seen anywhere

• What a dark day, it makes me wonder why its good?
• I wonder why he didn't let us go to hell when he could
• He gave us hope; I guess that's why it's good
• He still loved and suffered for what we all should

• But on Fridays or any day, we don't really give thanks
• Only on one day of the year, even then we party like skanks
• Enjoying a day off a work making it rain with empty banks
• Celebrating the day he was hurt by not giving thanks

• I get angry asking why they let the sun set
• But at dawn I remember i caused the victim's death

• We all murderers, stealing from God like burglars
