• it's completed. Not explicit, illicit, never asking for your digit,
• just a page number, from sage lumber,
• cut down to size to appeal to your eyes.
•  
• Showing age, page by page
• Hidden under covers (both kinds) with a flashlight
• feeling safe as any other nightlight.
•  
• And the smell of ink just makes me think,
• it sends me over the brink
• to a fantasy land-- more than we'd planned--
• Oh isn't it grand?
• With me in a nook,
• just me and my book,
• completely hooked.
