CHALLENGER'S RAP
- flipping thru the channels
- searching for something worth watching
- asking the questions
- what it means to be someone worth being
- for sure, it's important to acknowledge each individual
- to offer ones sincere recognition
- of our shared struggles and triumphs in life
- to be a true friend of the highest quality
- to inspire trust, respect and cooperation
- maybe i'm just old fashioned
- maybe i'm too brain-dead to fashion a life of a higher fashion
- caught up and stripped down in midst of all these factions
- insurance and unproductive appointments
- medication and the undeniable side effects
- playing the pharmaceutical roulette, placing my bets
- but the alternative is too frightening to imagine
- board a plane bound for the middle east
- with a backpack full of weed
- and zero cash
- wandering out of the airport
- busing thru a foreign city where
- concrete and steel rebar have been blasted to pieces
