DEFENDER'S RAP

• Have you ever seen your father beat your mom first hand?
• With your own eyes, you see the fist of the man
• That you call your dad, land on the lady's head
• And know that your mother deserves more respect.
• You know the next time, she will probably be dead
• At the end. It's a trend that continues.
• And you know deep in you that you want to help.
• But you can't even live with yourself
• Because you are too young to do anything about it.
• You just have to face it and just pray about it.

• For the next two weeks, your wishes came true.
• She wasn't beaten by your father. He acquired the flu.
• But he would beat her again, that part you knew,
• But if you kept on wishing, your luck already grew.
• Of course, it started back up again.
• The old habits came back around the bend.
• He laid hands on her, hit her and then,
• He knocked her out, colors on her face started to blend.

• You had enough with your father's wretched ways.
• You decide this is the last day
• That he ever puts his hand on your mother
• And this is the day that she can find another.
• You go into your parent's room.
• Lift up the mattress, find a loaded gun.
• Aim it at your father. You have already won.
• Fire a round right into his brain.
• He spins to the ground, starting a blood rain.
