- I am not the reckless youth
- I fought for this through nail and tooth
- I depended on the past
- Though as a mist, it couldn't last,
- I grasped at straws, I didn't have
- I built it up, came up with half,
- Gathered pieces in my hands,
- I hit the streets with my demands,
- I plead for truth instead of lies,
- I see destruction in the skies,
- I am a product of the myth
- In which every major corporation hides
- I am not the rebel child
- I am softspoken and mild,
- I would like to stay asleep
- But the choice is mine to keep
- I will resist tempations
- I will avoid the nation's
- Pressure to succumb
- I am not the average numb
- If you come to me with words
- Meant for purposes obscure
- I will turn my head from you,
- For the Devil plays that too,
