CHALLENGER'S RAP

• look up at the sky, tell me, what do you find?
• cause when I look up at the sky, you come up in my mind
• and I guess you are blind, clouds obstructing your eyes
• you don't remember the nights we spent with each other outside?
• we slept on the lawn, together, when the weather was warm
• never a storm til I woke up, and there was terror at dawn
• when I turned my head, to the emptiness, my treasure was gone
• and the message of this letter was born
• now we sentimental souls were severed, never could go together
• I remember we were broke as ever, but love kept our hopes up
• playing bootlegged Tomb Raider, and using newspapers to roll up
• and drinking cheap beer with no buzz, out of old cups
• but then you went and ditched me, you fucking left the city
• and didn't try to keep in touch I guess you never missed me
• so then our dreams vanished, I was indeed panicked
